Just as I became an adult, I was diagnosed with health issues that would drive my physical and mental wellbeing for the foreseeable future. In years of dealing with multiple clotting episodes, and most recently a PE and DVT at the beginning of 2020, I am grateful to be alive. Working through it all over the years, yoga became the one thing that would have a positive effect on my whole being. I could feel and see my breathing change and enhance my connection to my physical body. As I grew deeper in my practice, I made the leap to train as a teacher. I wanted to keep learning. I got my 200 hour certification with Alex Pfeiffer, 21st Century on the Mat and with these tools was able to continue my growth. I came to realize that in helping myself, I can help others too.
I share with students my learnings of breath, movement, and steadiness. The best of yoga practice is in the now. A healthy mind-body connection is the beginning to understand ourselves and beyond. Wherever we come from, once on the mat, it is a new space that allows us to be present with ourselves. One moment, one breath at a time.
When not on the mat, you can look for me deep in the woods, on the water, in all the nooks and crannies off the beaten path. Exploring new places on this earth, always on the hunt for a good photo, a good adventure, and a good meal.
