This workshop is great for anyone new to yoga or for anyone wishing to deepen their practice.

At the core of this workshop is a breakdown of Sun Salutation A: the most commonly used fundamental sequence in a yoga flow class. We will go over the poses of the sequence in detail, and then you will receive personal recommendations and alignment assistance on your Sun Salutation catered to your unique body.

We will also go over the basics of core strength, breathing in yoga, and common cues so you feel strong and confident in your yoga practice!

Yoga 102 with Katie – Saturday, January 25

This workshop is great for anyone brand new to yoga or for anyone wishing to deepen their practice. In Yoga 102 we will briefly recap the components of Yoga 101: Sun Salutation A, core strength, and breath work. We will then tackle standing poses: Warrior postures, standing balances, and the basics of twists and backbends. We’ll cover safe alignment and the most common transitions in a yoga flow class to be sure you feel confident entering a class setting. You will receive specific feedback and adjustments to your body throughout this workshop.

Presence, Movement and Play with Luke Arndt Workshop series begins Sunday, January 26

This series of workshops is centered around mindfulness practices and natural human movement patterns as well as games and play. We’ll use these practices to revitalize and strengthen the body, to sharpen and relax the mind, and to build a joyous and an embodied sense of presence. Each workshop will feature a variety of mindfulness and meditation practices and inquiries, a combination of different natural human movement patterns and unique and engaging games. There will be a mix of stillness and activity, so expect to sweat!

There are many progressions for each skill and movement that will be presented so that a wide range of ages and abilities may attend.

Movements that will be covered may include but are not limited to rolling, crawling, jumping, lifting, carrying, balancing, throwing and catching.

2020 dates: Sundays January 26, March 8, April 19, May 31, July 12, August 23, October 4, November 15.

Workshop cost: $30 per session.

Yoga for Kids and Parents with Miranda begins Jan 7

6 Week Class Series for Children and Parents with Miranda
Tuesdays 4:00-4:45pm, January 7 – February 11

This 6 week yoga class series is designed for children of any age with a parent or adult care-giver. (Modifications will be made for babies.)  45 minute class time.  In each class, we will:
– Read children’s yoga books to connect to animal poses, 
– Play mindful and teamwork games,  
– Practice fun, mindful breathing exercises such as: bee breath, bunny breath, and snake breath, 
– Explore guided meditation together.

$15/child per class (parents free) or sign up for all 6 weeks for $80

Puppy Yoga! January 19 and March 22

Yoga and puppies to start your Sunday! We’re collaborating again with our friends from The Puppy Den to offer this adorably popular class. Enjoy a gentle yoga class while puppies play and offer snuggles. Yogis of all ages and skill levels are welcome!

The class costs $25 for human participants and is FREE for puppy participants! Registration is required and can be completed at the following link. Humans, please be sure to select the “Yogi Participant (Two feet)” and if you’re signing up your puppy please select “Puppy Participant (Four paws)”. Class is held at The Puppy Den, 3124 Syene Road in Fitchburg.
